Conductor Julian Perkins spoke to writer Daryl Browne from Oregon ArtsWatch in the second part of their interview series about Cappella Romana’s new production of Handel’s Messiah, of which Perkins is the artistic director. In this new entry, Perkins goes into great detail about how he instructs vocalists to approach specific vowels and consonants in their performances.
