Patrick Quigley Delivers “A Stirring Opera” In New Review of ‘Morgiane’

Early Music America have published a glowing review of Morgiane, a new recording by OperaCréole Ensemble and Opera Lafayette Orchestra of Edmond Dédé’s “lost opera”, conducted by Patrick Dupre Quigley. According to writer Andrew J. Sammut, Quigley’s “pacing gives the words and rhythms space to make an impact. Both the Opera Lafayette Orchestra and OperaCréole Ensemble chorus dig into Dédé’s score with enthusiasm, balance, and transparency.” Morgiane is now available to listen to on all streaming services, or can be purchased in CD format.
