Nicholas McGegan Talks About Apollo’s Fire Debut in New Interview

 
 

Conductor Nicholas McGegan recently spoke to Cleveland Classical about his debut as conductor for the acclaimed ensemble Apollo’s Fire. From December 8-12, McGegan is conducting five performances of Handel’s Messiah with Apollo’s Fire, a production that also features Schwalbe artist Thomas Cooley. Speaking to interviewer Mike Telin about the fact that he has now conducted Messiah over 150 times, McGegan joked, “I’m getting to know it now.” After the Apollo’s Fire run, he will also be conducting the oratorio four more times with the Chicago Symphony.
