Douglas Williams Receives Rave Review For Performance of Telemann Opera

The Boston Globe has just published their review of Boston Early Music Festival’s production of Georg Philipp Telemann’s opera Pimpinone, which features bass-baritone Douglas Williams. Staff writer A.Z. Madonna had high praise for the performance, writing “Williams conveyed the sense of feeling bedraggled while never letting his voice flag, flipping into falsetto with ease”. A filmed version of the opera will be available for streaming online starting on December 11th. Click the link below to read the full review now.
