Nicholas Burns’ “Velvet” Voice Praised in Review for Larry Tremblay Adaptation

 
 

In her glowing review of the new musical adaptation of the novel L'orangeraie, Le Devoir’s Odile Tremblay wrote “The voice of countertenor Nicholas Burns… caressed the ear with its velvet”. In comparing it to the book and previous adaptations, she described the new operatic version as “a vibrant echo of the great Greek tragedies”.
