Patrick Quigley Shows Off His “Humanistic Handling of The Music” In New Opera Lafayette Performance

The Washington Post recently published a review of a performance featuring conductor Patrick Dupre Quigley and tenor James Reese in which they paid homage to outgoing Opera Lafayette conductor and artistic director Ryan Brown, who will soon be replaced by Quigley. In his piece, writer Michael Andor Brodeur endorsed Quigley as Brown’s replacement by saying that he conducted his favorite piece of the night, and “He shares Brown’s humanistic handling of the music — allowing it to breathe while skillfully managing its many moving parts.” Click the link below to read the full review now.
