The Washington Post Loves Thomas Cooley's Evangelist in Bach's Christmas Oratorio

In a review of a performance with the Washington Bach Consort in Strathmore Hall, the Post said "it was Cooley that held the night together. A natural Evangelist with a generous tenor and a gregarious presence, he drew gripping drama from potentially disposable recitative and sung with an inviting gentleness that effectively cloaked the brute force of his voice."
