Nick Magaurn and his Magaurn Video Media team guided PMW’s move to first-rate virtual content this past July by creating cinematic shorts for our Genius Unbound season. As executive producer (and son of the founder) of MVM, the longest-running independent video production company in Portland, Nick grew up steeped in film technique, style, and culture.  We are thrilled to hold this conversation with Nick and to offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the thrill and challenge of bringing PMW’s artistry to the digital screen.

I am a web developer and software engineer from the San Francisco Bay Area, with a background working in the entertainment industry as an SEO specialist/social media marketer. I studied full stack web development at UC Berkeley, and I am equally experienced working for small businesses, non-profits, and large corporations.
