Patrick Quigley Appears on NBC Nightly News

In honor of black history month, on February 5 NBC Nightly News featured the work that Givonna Joseph and OperaCreole are doing to bring restorative justice to American opera through presentations of works by 19th-century free people of color.  As part of that segment, NBC focused on the joint project by OperaCreole and Opera Lafayette to give the world premiere of Edmond Dédé's 1887 opera Morgiane in New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and New York City including a brief interview with Opera Lafayette Artistic Director Designate Patrick Dupre Quigley, a New Orleans native.  NBC will be featuring a longer segment on Sunday Today later in the month (date not yet determined).  Click the link below to watch a clip now.
