NBC's Sunday Today show ran a feature on New Orleans' OperaCreole, with a particular focus on an upcoming production of Edmund Dèdè's Morgiane, the first American opera written by a free person of color. Also featured in the clip is conductor Patrick Dupre Quigley, who is creating the edition and will lead the premiere performance of what he calls "the most important piece of American music no one has ever heard".
