Nicholas McGegan and Awadagin Pratt team up at Aspen

CPR Classical interviewed conductor Nicholas McGegan and pianist Awadagin Pratt regarding their July 7 concert at the Aspen Music Festival and School. Regarding the program comprised of works by JS Bach and Jessie Montgomery’s ‘Rounds for Piano and Orchestra’, Mr. Pratt says “I’m very much looking forward to collaborating and learning,” says Pratt. Even though he has his own perspectives on Bach, he’s looking forward to working with “baroque specialist” McGegan, and “having that experience of ‘well, I’ve never thought about it that way before.’” Read the full article, below.
