Conductor Nicholas McGegan was recently interviewed by Wisconsin Public Radio’s Jason Heilman about the upcoming production of Handel’s Messiah that McGegan will be conducting for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra from November 21st-23rd. During the interview, McGegan discusses the special history of Messiah, including what makes it unique compared to other works by Handel, the way it combines religious and secular elements, and how as a conductor he approaches the material differently than he would works by composers such as Bach.
