Nicholas McGegan and Laurence Cummings Featured at Göttingen International Handel Festival

“After a ten-year run, the current Artistic Director Laurence Cummings is taking his leave from the Göttingen stage by performing the most popular arias from Handel's Serse (Xerxes). For the occasion, he has invited two special guests: his predecessor Nicholas McGegan, who helped define the Festival from 1991 to 2011. He will be performing concertante excerpts from the production of the opera Rinaldo, whose 2019 performance at the elite Julliard School of Music in New York met with acclaim. Also making a guest appearance is Cummings' successor, George Petrou, who makes his debut as Artistic Director in 2022”
