As Thomas Betterton in Carlisle Floyd’s Prince of Players, Alexander Dobson was praised for his “rock-solid” performance in an opera The Arts Fuse called “surely one of the best new operas to have been launched in recent years.” Today it was announced that Prince of Players has been nominated for two 2021 GRAMMY(r) Awards - Best Opera Recording, and Best Classical Composition.
