Sara Couden to Perform Multiple Dates at Staunton Music Festival

 
 

Beginning on Tuesday, August 18th, contralto Sara Couden will perform numerous times as part of this year’s Staunton Music Festival taking place in Staunton, Virginia. The performance on the 18th will feature Mahler's Three Rückert Lieder, followed by Paelstrina's Sanctus-Benedictus from Missa Papae Marcelli, on August 19th. On August 21st, she will perform Gesualdo's Tristis est anima mea, and motets and choruses by Tallis, Weelkes, Morley, Purcell, and Handel at a seperate performance on the same day. On August 22nd, Couden will perform Wolf's Three Songs for voice & piano, and then conclude her time with the festival singing in the chorus for Mozart's Don Giovanni.
