Laura Strickling Is a “Highlight” of Consonance Performance in New Review

 
 

A new piece by Landon Hegedus of the the Chicago Classical Review praised soprano Laura Strickling for her “powerful and polished soprano” in her special Women’s History Month performance with Consonance, the ensemble previously known as Chicago Choral Artists. “Strickling’s solo turns throughout the first half were modest, reserving most of her firepower for the program’s second half, though her incisive reading of the art song “Woman Walking” — which she commissioned from composer Nell Shaw Cohen — was another program highlight.” Click the link below to read the full review now.
