“Hildegard” Starring Nola Richardson Wins 2026 Award for Best New Opera

 
 

The Music Critics Association of North America has just awarded Sarah Kirkland Snider’s Hildegard its 2026 Award for Best New Opera. The opera, which stars soprano Nola Richardson in the title role of Hildegard von Bingen, received rave reviews when it premiered in LA and further acclaim when it played in New York earlier this year.
