Patrick Quigley Talks About “Dido and Aeneas” In New Interview

 
 

Conductor Patrick Quigley was interviewed recently by the Washington Classical Review about the upcoming production of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas that he will be conducting for Opera Lafayette. In the piece, Quigley discusses a wide variety of topics including the history of the opera, the ways in which he reworked some of the chorus arrangements to better suit his needs, and his collaborations with the music scholar Amanda Eubanks Winkler.
