Ahead of his London debut, conductor Jakob Lehmann has shared some new information about the upcoming Rossini: Sacred and Profane program that he will be conducting for the Monteverdi Choir. In a new piece on Monteverdi’s website (which is also embedded with a trailer for the performance), Lehmann discusses his “intense” research for the production and how he chose to use period-accurate instruments and performance techniques to accurately capture the mood and spirit of the composition.
