Earrelevant has published a new review of Atlanta Opera’s recent production of Phillip Glass’ Beauty and the Beast adaptation La Belle et la Bête, which was performed at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta Georgia. In this unique production, Jean Cocteau’s film was screened while performers including baritone Hadleigh Adams performed the vocals live. Reviewer Howard Wershil wrote that Adams’ role as the titular Beast was “portrayed beautifully” and praised his ability to match up with the performers on screen.
