The Boston Globe recently published a new review of the Boston Early Music Festival’s production of Richard Keiser’s Octavia, featuring bass-baritone Douglas Ray Williams as the villainous emperor Nero. “Williams’s ravenous Nero was a visually and vocally compelling foil to the regal Octavia, restless even while  standing still,” wrote A.Z.
