Nicholas McGegan to Lead Philharmonia Baroque In Two Nights of “Jews & Music”

 
 

On Thursday, January 29th and Sunday, January 31st, conductor Nicholas McGegan will host a pair of special events as part of Philharmonia Baroque’s Jews & Music series. This particular event will focus on Jewish nightlife, and will feature a combination of lecture on the topic and music from Syrian and Moroccan songs alongside works by Rossi and Boccherini. McGegan will conduct from the harpsichord while the music is performed by Israeli singer Yair Harel and the Philharmonia Baroque Chamber Players and Chorale Quintet.
